Southern Myanmar
  Kyaikhtiyo
One of the most interesting tourist destinations is the Golden Rock of the Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda Complex.It is about 20 km from the town of Kyaikhto, 180 km from Yangon.A small pagoda sits on the top of the Golden Rock, a massive, gilded boulder delicately balanced on the edge of a cliff at the top of Mt. Kyaikhtiyo.There is a space between the boulder and the cliff top on which it is poised.
 
Mawlamyine
The capital of the Mon State, Mawlamyine is an attractive, leafy, tropical port with a ridge of stupa-capped hills on one side and the sea on the other.It is also Myanmar's fourth largest city.
 
  Pa-an
The capital of Kayin State, Pa-an, is 270 km east of Yangon.It is famous for the fascinating Lunmbini Garden with 1120 sitting Buddha Images situated in the foreground of Mt. Zwe Ga Bin.A visit to this Garden is an unforgettable experience.
 
Kawthaung
Kawthaung is Myanmar 's southernmost town is situated on Cape Bayintnaung, (formerly Cape Victoria).It is a Myanmar-thai border trade town and it has a population of 700,000.
 
  Myeik
Lying 350 miles (560km) south-east of Yangon, it is situated on an island between the Tanintharyi and Kyaukphyu rivers, which debouch into the Andaman Sea in the west.It is also quite near the Gulf of Siam which is due east.The Myieik Archipelago, consisting of 804 islands ranging in size from 170 square miles to mere rocky promontories in the sea, has a good harbor so that from ancient times, silk and porcelain from China were brought over via Siam and exported to the West through this port.
